The function of this Lab is to use the Website for Noam Chomsky: A Life of Dissent as a springboard for collaborative exchanges and projects based on the ideas explored in the text of the book. As a first stage development, the Lab offers three main areas of activity. In the DISCUSSION SALON, you can access a series of threaded discussions lists, and the sorted correspondence associated with these online exchanges. We encourage you to participate, read the contributions, and then take part in the debates. The READING ROOM will feature a range of classic texts associated with some themes of Noam Chomsky's work. WORK-IN-PROGRESS. As a consequence of his research on Noam Chomsky, Robert Barsky has begun writing a new book on the ideas, work and influence of Zellig Harris. You can take a look at the evolving texts here, and take part in critical exchanges on the ideas in the text with the author as he develops the new book.
