Abstract:
We are accustomed to think of language comprehension as a
source of constraint and control during language production (e.g.,
editorial and error monitoring functions). I will explore some
aspects of the complementary relation between language
comprehension and language production systems, emphasizing the use
of production systems as a source of conceptually driven
constraints on comprehension performance.
