Abstract:
While I appreciate the scientific technique of picking away at
pieces of a problem, I think that we greatly underestimate
consciousness when we attempt to redefine it as merely awareness
or selective attention. These are rather low-level capabilities
in the neurologist's pantheon of mental abilities.
